While many people talk about BPM, its implications, technologies, and methods, relatively few are able to demonstrate their competency based on any sort of formal education.

You can't get an MBA in process management, yet it is a skill that will be increasingly necessary in the future. How do you show that you are among those few, select professionals? The BPM Blackbelt is the answer.

Why a BPM Blackbelt?
To demonstrate your commitment and expertise in the field of BPM. You can use the BPM Blackbelt certification to show that you have undertaken an effort to establish yourself among a select group of professional who are educated in and experienced with BPM.

How do I get a BPM Blackbelt?
There are three components to getting your BPM Blackbelt:

1 - Participate in a Delphi Bootcamp event
2 - Take the Blackbelt examination
3 - Demonstrate your use of BPM methods through real world application

What is the exam like and where do I take it?
The exam is an intensive multipart written or on-line examination that takes approximately three hours. It must be taken under the supervision of a Delphi examiner at a Delphi Bootcamp event. The material in the examination is covered during the bootcamp event, but also relies on your ability to express good process judgment and skill in the basic concepts and fundamental of process analysis and design. You will be provided with prework materials prior to the bootcamp that cover these fundamentals. Specific attention is paid to the methods and techniques of process analysis and management.

What if I don/t pass the exam?
Our intensive approach to the exam is balanced by the education delivered in the Bootcamp. So if you are serious about certification we will do everything possible to prepare you. If however, you do not pass the exam on your first attempt you are welcome to return to a future bootcamp or Delphi conference where you can retake the exam. There is a nominal fee of $195 for each retake.

Are there different types of BPM Blackbelts?
YES! There are actually four degrees of blackbelt certification that Delphi Group provides:

• First Degree
  Participate in a Delphi Bootcamp event
  Successfully pass the examination at the 80th or above percentile
• Second Degree
  Participate in a Delphi Bootcamp event
  Successfully pass the examination at the 90th or above percentile
  Demonstrate your use of BPM methods through real world application
• Third Degree
  Participate in a Delphi Bootcamp event
  Successfully pass the examination at the 95th or above percentile
  Demonstrate your use of BPM methods through real world application
• Fourth Degree
  Participate in a Delphi Bootcamp event
  Successfully pass the examination at the 98th or above percentile
  Demonstrate your use of BPM methods through multiple real world applications

Do I get an actual Certificate?
Yes. After you complete each phase of the BPM Blackbelt (and your examination has been graded) you will receive a hardcopy certificate of completion and will be listed as a BPM Blackbelt in our registry.
