Why PDDM?
The Portal Design & Development Methodology (PDDM) forms
part of Delphi Group's Knowledge Management consulting services.
PDDM is focused specifically on expediting assessment of your
organization's needs for portal technology and development of
a taxonomy and framework to support the same. PDDM is a multi-step
process that enables the evaluation of your organization's knowledge
use, focus on process versus content, and existing portal related
activities and attitudes. PDDM is useful in organizations that
have a broad awareness of their need for a corporate portal, but
need to focus on more specific needs and rapidly establish a plan
of action and implementation.
PDDM was expressly developed to rapidly uncover the basic needs
of the organization in establishing a single point of access to
its knowledge base. Using PDDM, Delphi Group can assess the type of
portal tool most appropriate to the organization, what its front-end
will/should look like, and how the respectivetaxonomy should be
established and maintained.
